This first picture is of the laser plasma torch I used to cut the instrument panel.

Today I made side rails for the GNS-430 tray. I then drilled them into position and countersunk the rivet holes in the panel. It is looking pretty cool.

I pulled a battery out of my lawn tractor and mounted in the plane. I mounted the starter and master solenoids and temporarily hooked up the wiring. Before hooking up ground I checked for grounds with the master switch open and closed. Then I checked with each switch position closed. So far so good - no grounds. I hooked up the ground wire and then closed the master switch and heard it click.

I mounted the dimmer PCB. Yes I know it looks stupid to mount it on a removable access cover but that is where I wanted it. I drilled a hole for the dimmer rheostat, mounted it and wired it. I then wired the flap switch. I tested the flap switch polarity by hooking up the flap motor and hitting the switch. The polarity was wrong so I switched the wires at the motor. I tested the dimmer by measuring the voltage at the dimmer terminal at the bus bar while twirling the know. So far so good,
