I finished deburring the aileron leading edge parts. I dimpled and primed them. The pictures above show a cool way to dimple the leading edge holes where the counterweight pipe is riveted to the leading edge skin. The pipe is countersunk first. Then it is clecoed to the skin and a block of wood is put behind it. Then the male part of the dimple die is hammered to create the dimple. After treating and priming, I riveted them in and I have to admit they turned out really nice. I found the idea while trolling other builder websites last night.

One of the cool things about building an RV is that many people have done this before me. I haven't had any problem finding answers, tips or whatever on other builder web sites and discussion groups. I have only had to expose my ignorance once to Vans so far.

I forgot to drill holes for the bracket attach bolts in the rear ribs. No biggie. I'll de-cleco everything and get them tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a work day. We had the last two off because of the hurricane.
