Yesterday I made four 2 7/8" spacers for in between the F-804 center section ribs. I sifted through my scrap wood pile and found a combination of near 3/4" pieces that added up to about 1/32" more than 2 7/8". Today I went through my pile again and found a few that were a better match. I glued them together and clamped them into place.
I positioned the center section rib doublers and drilled them. Then I dimpled and temporarily riveted them to the ribs.
