Today we took care of what was left on the right side and then we did the left side. We also did the rear floor z-brace.

I made the decision earlier to permanently mount the crossmembers to the landing gear boxes. I did this because I thought the benefit of being able to set the rivets with the skin off outweighed the interference they would cause in trying to squeeze around in that part of the fuselage. If I were to build another RV8 I don't think I would do it that way again. I also don't know if I have paid the full price of having made this decision.

The fuselage has turned out great so far.

Tomorrow morning I will drill a small hole in the front and another in the back for plum lines. Then ... canoe tipping time!
