I placed and drilled the vertical angles and bolted them into place. I
drilled and attached the nutplates.
The big block of wood above is really 8 blocks glued together in pairs
and clamped. The width of each pair turned out to be 1 7/16" called for
in the plans to act as temporary wing spars for positioning the two
center section pieces. I lucked out in that I had some oak and some good
quality plywood of the right thicknesses in my carpentry scrap heap.
