I cut the actuator rod for the left flap about 1/4" longer than the drawings call for. My plan was to test fit it and cut it again if necessary. I threaded both ends and installed it. It was immediately obvious that I would have to enlarge the hole in the fuselage at the bottom since the rod rubs when the flap is up. I spent most of my time this evening doing just this.
