I didn't do anything tonight, just went over everything to see where I screwed up. I couldn't find it. I'll look on the web to see if anyone else has had this problem.

I clamped the flap and hinge into place. According to the plans I need
to have a 1/4" gap between the flap and wing skins. When the trailing
edge of the flap aligns with that of the aileron, about a 3/8" gap
results. I doubt 1/8" is much of a big deal but I would like to
understand why since all of this is pre-punched. When I follow the plans
I get the unsightly misalignment shown in the fourth picture above. I didn't do anything tonight, just went over everything to see where I screwed up. I couldn't find it. I'll look on the web to see if anyone else has had this problem. |
