I came home for lunch today and continued the riveting operation. I live only 5 minutes from work. I finished the inside skin. I then used my ScotchBrite wheel to do the scarf joint at the leading edge where the two skins overlap. The scarf joint is simply making the skin a little thinner in this area so that it doesn't stick up behind the tank. I then primed the area under the overlap.

Tonight I started on the outside skin. I am using the strings and pulleys method since this worked out very well on the other wing. I completed the first two bays and riveted on the pitot tube backing plate. Then I hooked up the two lines. This is a Dynon pitot tube. One line is for the pitot tube and the other for the angle of attack sensor. I didn't put as much slack in the lines as I have seen other builders do because the fittings are in the bay right next to the inspection cover. It is possible though not easy to get to them.

Hopefully I can finish skinning tomorrow. There is still about a full day after that of misc stuff I need to do before declaring the wings done.
