Today I masked and shot the blue area on the sides of the cowl. I let it dry for about 8 hours and then masked and shot the white. I used slightly over 2 pints. To get the bottom of the fuselage I hooked up the engine to the come-a-long on the a-frame and lowered the engine and raised the tail to where it was almost touching the ceiling. I also painted the cowl. All of the filling and sanding paid off because the cowl is very smooth and shiney.
