Tonight I worked on the z brackets for attaching the fuel tank. I followed the procedure mentioned on Dan Checkoway's web site. On each bracket I drilled a hole in the center of the web 1/16" toward the outside. I bolted it to the spar. made it perpendicular to the spar and then drilled the other two holes from the back of the spar. Then I attached a throwaway nut plate onto each hole and match drilled the nut plate rivet holes. I then countersunk the rivet holes, cleaned up and deburred and then riveted the nut plates to the z brackets. I did this to all of the z brackets except for the inboard one. It is late - time for bed.
